GAUSS is participating in the Italy-Israel Workshop on Nanosatellite Technology, a sector in which the Company operates, as it manufactures systems and subsystems fit for small satellites. The bilateral 2-day event “Nanotecnologie, bilaterale Italia-Israele” takes place in Rome at ASI premises on April 9-10, 2018, under the aegis of Agenzia Spaziale Italiana (ASI), Israeli Space Agency (ISA) and International Academy of Astronautics (IAA), in cooperation with the University of Roma “La Sapienza” and the Technion Israel Institute of Technology.
Nowadays, NanoSatellites are a fast-growing element in the New Space field, an innovative satellite technology unfolding at high speed and gaining importance because of the various applications and missions they can be useful for. The event aims at promoting the cooperation between Italy and Israel in the Space field of research and development of Nanosatellites.
On the agenda, correspondent activities presentations and round-tables discussions on key NanoSatellite technologies related topics, in view of enhancing the two Countries joint projects.
GAUSS viewpoint as expert in the small/nano satellites industry is present with the Address by Professor Filippo Graziani – on behalf of IAA, during the Inaugural Session – and the Presentation – on the 2nd day, during the Working Session “The contribution of small Italian companies – titled “HERCULES: A LOCKSTEP – CPU ONBOARD COMPUTER” by Marco Truglio, Aitor Conde Rodriguez and Filippo Graziani (GAUSS Srl).
HERCULES, a promising subsystem of new concept to be used for small and nano platforms is a miniaturized OBC designed by GAUSS engineers and is currently under testing, soon available on the market.
