GAUSS will participate to the first national workshop on components, titled “The National Components for the Space: State of the art, Developments and Prospects” – “La Componentistica Nazionale per lo Spazio: Stato dell’arte, Sviluppi e Prospettive” -, organized by the Italian Space Agency (Agenzia Spaziale Italiana – ASI).
The event will take place at the Italian Space Agency premises in Rome, the 18, 19 and 20 of January 2016. 
This workshop aims at defining and mapping the state of the Electrical, Electronics and Electromechanics (EEE) components for space applications and it is dedicated to the national scientific and industrial community.
As a space company operating in the launch services field, GAUSS will expose some of its hardware and products, specifically: ABACUS, a low-power onboard computer developed in cooperation with the School of Aerospace Engineering of the University of Rome “Sapienza”, and a UHF Radio; both products are manufactured with COTS components, and they are suitable for nano and pico satellites.
GAUSS will then take actively part in the discussions on the technological developments of components for space.
